Upacara bagi orang yang sudah meninggal, menurut keyakinan Hindu, disebut pitra yadnya. Bagi orang Toraja, yang menganut Hindu Alukta (Aluk Todolo), upacara semacam ini disebut Rambu Solo.

Aluk Todolo adalah keyakinan orang Toraja yang telah berintegrasi dengan agama Hindu sejak tahun 1969, setelah adanya pengakuan dari Dirjen Bimas Hindu dan Budha, dengan ketetapannya Nomor: Dd/M/200-VII/1969 TENTANG MASUKNYA ALUKTODOLOTA DISINGKAT ALUKTA KE DALAM AGAMA HINDU.
